A self-confessed perfectionist who loves a challenge. With over 20 years’ experience in sales, finance and management and more recently marketing and social media I have a real can do attitude with a hands on approach.
Fuelled by decent coffee in the day and a good G&T by night doesn’t go amiss.
I have worked with RefTech for just over 2 years now and really enjoy the variety of working in the events industry.
I come from a sales background and have been working in sales for around 12 years for various companies in many industry sectors.
I enjoy playing badminton, dog walking, mountain biking, dining out, watching movies and going to gigs.
My favourite drink is Dead Pony Club.
I’ve worked at RefTech for over 6 years, initially just as a software tester but recently my role has diversified, now including documentation, training and support. I work with every department and have a broad knowledge of the company and the lifecycle of an event.
Before joining RefTech and the events industry, I studied music at the University of Edinburgh and this is still one of my main out of work hobbies. I am a singer, pianist, aspiring New Country songwriter and I’m currently attempting to learn guitar. Related to that, I host a weekly New Country radio show with my husband Dean (also a developer at RefTech) and we’re enjoying helping to raise the profile of UK country music.
I have a passion for food and drink, in particular sampling the local cuisine of the different countries I visit on my travels.
My favourite drink is wine (specifically prosecco) and I enjoy learning about the many different varieties.
Worked at RefTech for just over 10 years. I have 2 roles, mailing fulfilment and PA to company Chief Ideas Officer.
Hobbies include travelling, sewing and photography.
I started at RefTech back in 2012 after working in the construction & shop fitting industry for over 15 years as a buyer and IT manager. I have spent millions of other people's money and prided myself in being able to get the right thing, to the right place, for the right price.
I have always been keen on information technology (IT), and technology and gadgets in general ever since my first ZX Spectrum back in the early 1980’s. I’m currently learning my way around the Linux operating system. My role as an on-site manager is founded on technology and being able to get things working for our clients as well as supporting our clients on-site. I manage RefTech’s IT infrastructure on a daily basis too.
As a child I always wanted to be a deep sea diver or a policeman and was all about the outdoors. Now grown up, I'm a keen scuba diver and instructor and have travelled far and wide to see the wonders of our world's oceans. But I think UK diving is amongst the best in the world (yes even with our visibility).
I enjoy Taekwondo, mountain biking and rock climbing, walking my 5 Shih Tzu’s and rather enjoy a Hobgoblin or Doombar.
I have worked at RefTech since 2014 and in the events industry for the same amount of time. I work as part of the finance team now, but previously, before maternity leave, I worked as part of the projects team. I used to work in a supermarket as an administrative assistant, but decided I needed a change.
I have a beautiful little girl called Evelyn, who was born in June 2016 – she is my world.
I love all the normal things that a young woman/mum enjoys doing, including shopping, listening to music, going on holiday and great days out with my family.
I studied photography at Plymouth College of Art and Design. I’ve been working in the event industry since leaving college in 1986, and I've been working at RefTech since 2001.
Within the industry I’ve been an AV technician, event producer, creator of slides/speaker support material, website designer and graphic designer.
My hobbies include photography, watching films and walks in the countryside. I’ve also visited what some people may consider an excessive number of castles.
My favourite drink is coffee.
I have worked as a web/software developer since 1999 and joined RefTech in early 2015 which was my first experience of the events industry.
My hobbies are mainly technology and gadget related but I also like to cook and dabble with DIY.
My favourite drink is Coffee.
Jess joined RefTech when she was 12 weeks old. She has been a regular member of staff now for 4 years. When not barking for treats she enjoys lying on the board room table listening to what’s going on and sleeping on the bottom of the tea trolley.
Her favourite drink is water and in her spare time she socialises with other dogs like her.
